Copper pot still in the Henstone Distillery still room

Henstone Distillery

Copper, botanicals, patience

A working pot still in a converted dairy building, making gin, vodka and single malt in small numbered batches.

The still room

One still, run by hand

Henstone was built into an old dairy on the edge of the estate, chosen for its thick walls and cool, even temperature. At its heart is a direct-fired copper pot still with a botanical basket in the neck, which lets us vapour-infuse the lighter botanicals while steeping the roots and berries in the pot.

Every run is cut by taste rather than by clock. Heads and tails go back into the next batch, the heart is rested, and each bottle is labelled with its batch number and the initials of whoever was on the still that day.

Alongside the gin, vodka and Lad's Rum, Henstone matures its own Single Malt English Whisky in ex-bourbon and red wine casks.

Visit

Tours & tastings

The distillery tour runs every Saturday at 11am and 2pm. Ninety minutes in the still room with a distiller, a guided tasting of the range, and a perfect gin and tonic to finish in the shop.

Gin schools run monthly, where you'll build your own recipe on a small still and take home a signed 50cl bottle.

Shop & trade

Bottles and bars

The distillery shop is open Wednesday to Saturday for bottles, gift sets and refills. We also supply bars, restaurants and farm shops across the Marches, with bespoke botanical blends for larger accounts.
