Monty’s philosophy has always been to produce a traditional beer with a contemporary twist that leaves you wanting more.
Its gluten-free beers are brewed with an enzyme which breaks down the gluten to a laboratory-tested level well below 20 ppm, and no wheat is used in them.

Ding Dong

A crisp, golden ale balancing bright citrus and subtle seasonal notes. At 4.4% it’s perfectly crafted for the holiday season.

Sunshine

A refreshing golden ale, it is packed with floral and citrus aromas from the cascade hops and has a distinctive dry finish.
MPA
Session pale ale

Brewed using Maris Otter barley, it gives this beer a beautifully light colour. It has gentle malt flavours and soft hop aromas with hints of grapefruit and lychee.
Mischief
Strong golden ale

A strong golden ale that’s not overly hopped. It’s refreshing and easily quaffable for a 5% ale, hence the name! A British style IPA brewed with a great balance of malts and hops this beer is an easy drinking brew with a slight sweetness in the finish.

A copper-coloured ale brewed for drinkers who appreciate depth without heaviness. Its gentle toffee notes drawn from carefully selected barley to create a warm, rounded character that lingers just long enough to satisfy. Crafted to be gluten free without compromising flavour, this is an easy-drinking ale that still delivers the richness you expect from a traditional malt-led brew.

You can taste the malt characteristic from the crystal, chocolate, and black malts with a punch of hop from the Mosaic and Jester hops. It has perfect bitterness, and intense hop aromas from the mosaic, jester and magnum hops.

Hazy IPA has punch, full of mosaic and Citra hops. It has all the fruity and juicy flavours of tropical fruit. At the same time is cleverly designed to be light and refreshing. At 4.6% this thirst-quenching easy drinking beer hits all the right spots.

Very lightly hopped using Hersbrucker hops, and a traditional lager malt with a bittersweet finish.
Dark Secret

Visit
Brewery tours & tap
Tours run on Friday evenings and Saturday afternoons: an hour in the brewhouse with the brewing team, then four thirds of your choosing in the taproom. Twelve people maximum, so book ahead.
The taproom is open Thursday to Saturday, 4pm to 10pm, with pizza from the yard oven on Fridays.

We deliver cask, keg and bottle across Shropshire, Powys and the Welsh borders on our own dray, with next-day drops within thirty miles. Free stillage loan and pump clips for new accounts.
